A very impressive natural monument and of course a popular and well-known photo spot is the Pragser Wildsee, which stretches between Toblach and Bruneck. Here, nature lovers will find an extremely spectacular backdrop and countless motifs of the emerald green lake.
Seiser Alm
The largest high alpine pasture in Europe is the Seiser Alm, where countless hiking trails can be found, from which you can enjoy a magnificent panorama. For example, you can undertake a summit tour to the Platt or Langkofel or enjoy the dreamy landscape on the circular hiking trail that starts in Compatsch, and of course take countless photos.
The Earth Pyramids in Oberbozen
From Bolzano, you can take the cable car to Oberbozen, where an impressive view of the surroundings already awaits. With the panoramic train, you then continue to Klobenstein. From there, you can reach the famous earth pyramids via hiking trail No. 24, which were formed from late glacial moraine clay.
The Three Peaks
Of course, the Three Peaks must not be missed, as they are considered a landmark of South Tyrol and are also part of the UNESCO World Heritage. It is best to hike to the Dreizinnenhütte, as you can definitely take spectacular photos of the giant mountain obelisks from there.
Karersee
The next photo stop takes you to the Karersee, which enchants visitors with its impressive colors. It shimmers like a rainbow and is therefore often called "Rainbow Lake." On an idyllic circular hiking trail, which is also perfect for families with children, you can let the dreamy waters work their magic on you.
Seceda Alm
In the Puez-Geisler Nature Park lies the popular Seceda Alm, which is part of the UNESCO World Natural Heritage. In good weather, you can see all the way to the Großglockner or Ortler from the summit and, of course, photograph this panorama.
Reschensee
Also very well-known and a worthwhile photo motif is the Reschensee. It is an artificially created reservoir, which is also the largest lake in South Tyrol. In the middle of the lake, you can find the submerged church tower, which originally belonged to the village church of Alt-Graun, which sank due to lake flooding.
The Geisler Peaks
They rise very prominently: the Geisler Peaks, which lie between Gröden and Villnöss. Those who wish can embark on a circular hike here and explore the best spots for good photos.
Schlern
Photographers from all over the world are also drawn to the 2563-meter-high Schlern, which impresses especially with its bizarre shape. It is found in the Schlern-Rosengarten Nature Park, where the Santner and Eringerspitze immediately catch the eye.
Armentara Meadows
Somewhat less known, but still of impressive beauty, are the Armentara Meadows, which stretch above Badia/Abtei. The hike there starts at the La Crusc mountain station; from there, you follow path 15B towards Wengen to reach the meadows.
House on the Rock
A very curious photo motif can be discovered in the Ultental. It is a small house that was swept away during a flood and then remained almost intact on a rock. By now, the little house is also known beyond the borders of the region and is a very popular photo motif. You can reach it from St. Pankratz, where the path is also signposted.
Stoanernen Mandln
Also, the Stoanernen Mandln must not be missing from the photo collection, around which countless legends revolve. Those who want to experience the giant stone piles up close can start their hike above Mölten and follow the signs from there.
