Vacation in Galtür

In the rear Paznaun between Silvretta and Verwall group, the holiday paradise Galtür opens its doors to all those seeking relaxation. Pollen allergy sufferers will particularly enjoy coming here, as in the first official air spa resort in Tyrol, they can also breathe freely.

Hiking and Nordic walking are very popular in the summer. And on 250 kilometers of hiking trails, you can take many steps and discover the natural beauty of the area. Along the routes, you will also come across shelters and inns, where a hearty snack quickly provides strength and makes the taste buds come alive. Typical regional delicacies include Paznaun alpine cheese, which has a long tradition.

The mountain landscape can also be explored on two wheels. The Silvretta Mountainbike Arena offers enthusiastic cyclists the agony of choice with 36 marked trails. And for those who prefer to cycle through nature with less effort, there is also the option to rent an e-bike. A well-developed network of charging stations ensures that you never run out of power on the way.

Water Fun under the Open Sky

At the Bieler Höhe on the Silvretta reservoir, you have the opportunity to enjoy a ride on Europe's highest-lying regular ship - at an altitude of approximately 2,000 meters. Another high mountain lake, which is a popular destination for hikes, is the Stafali Pond in the middle of the forest. It takes about 1.5 hours from Galtür. Once there, you can relax while swimming or rafting. For the hungry, there are also brick barbecues including fuel available.

And if the weather doesn't cooperate, the indoor pool at the Galtür sports center also welcomes water rats from near and far. With a waterfall, massage jets, a fun slide, and a separate mother-child area, satisfaction is guaranteed for everyone here.

The list of possible activities can be expanded with outdoor tennis, beach volleyball, and climbing on the natural stone wall. And for those who want to see Galtür from a bird's eye view, this can be done while paragliding or hang gliding with a delta glider. Also located at a higher altitude is the Alpinarium, which serves as both an avalanche protection wall and an exhibition space. An indoor climbing wall and a café also provide a sporty and enjoyable touch.

Winter Magic in the Top Ski Resort

In winter, the resort scores with a ski area that offers 40 kilometers of groomed slopes, 20 kilometers of deep snow trails, and 8 ski lifts. All of this is complemented by 70 kilometers of cross-country ski trails. Rails, a mini wall, and a mogul slope - these are the highlights of the action area for snowboarders in the Silvapark - the adventure world for winter sports enthusiasts. Also on offer here: a ski safari, where you go to the Kops reservoir in snow groomers. From there, the journey continues on skis through forest paths and tunnel sections until you finally reach the Bieler Höhe.

In addition to all the action, the Silvretta-Galtür area is also a perfect place for family vacations - as numerous awards for family friendliness prove. This includes not only the ski kindergarten but also the offerings of the ski schools and, last but not least, the route through the fairy-tale forest: In the snowy forest, little adventurers encounter forest spirits and witches and will fondly remember the fun times in Galtür for a long time.
