Vacation in Wildschönau

Summer vacation

Around 300 kilometers of marked hiking trails offer a wide range. There are tours in the high valley and through the Kitzbühel and Zillertal Alps for pleasure walkers and families with children, all the way to experienced mountain enthusiasts. The Markbachjoch and Schatzbergbahn gondolas are also open in the summer and take guests to the optimal starting points for tours. Along the way, you can admire traditional farmhouses or taste regional dishes at the alpine pastures. In addition, Wildschönau offers wonderful opportunities for mountain biking, e-biking, canyoning, rafting, climbing, paragliding, horseback riding, tennis, and swimming.

Winter holiday

Modern lift facilities and well-groomed slopes invite winter sports enthusiasts to enjoy the cold season. In addition, there are opportunities for tobogganing, snowshoeing, winter hiking, paragliding, and much more. A traditional stop for refreshments rounds off the winter holiday. In five ski schools, professionals are on hand to provide advice and assistance in learning and perfecting various winter sports. Several equipment rental shops ensure the ideal equipment.

Sights

  • In the "z'Bach" mountain farm museum, visitors can take an exciting journey through Tyrolean history and the former working and living world. The museum is housed in the "Gut z'Bach," which dates back to the 13th century. At the 1st Tyrolean Wood Museum, carvings and interesting wooden objects can be admired.
  • The Lehenlahn show mine, a former silver mine, is also worth a visit. There, visitors can explore medieval tunnels and the fairytale tunnel and learn interesting facts about mining.
  • For art enthusiasts, a visit to the Janet Jochum gallery is recommended, as well as
  • walks on the Franziskusweg or through the sculpture park.

Children

The "Drachenclub" offers appealing and age-appropriate children's and youth programs for guests between the ages of five and 14. In winter, the little ones are lovingly cared for and introduced to skiing in the ski schools.
