The picturesque Puster Valley runs in a west-east direction from the Lienz Klause in East Tyrol to the Brixen Klause in South Tyrol. The Austrian part and the border region on the South Tyrolean side are called Hochpustertal. The East Tyrolean Hochpustertal includes the region between Sillian and Anras as well as the northern side valley to Innervillgraten and the region towards Lesachtal to Obertilliach. Nestled between the South Tyrolean and Lienz Dolomites, the impressive mountain landscape primarily attracts mountaineers and nature lovers.
