Environmental activist Moni
I am: Businesswoman. Environmentalist. Trainer. Green party voter. Organized. Determined. Consistent. Interested in people with personality. Open to new things.
I have: Respect for my fellow human beings and nature. The desire to fight. No fear. No understanding for deforestation. Improvisational talent. Enjoy expressing my opinion.
I like: Walking. Meeting new people. Fun. Non-smoker. Climate protection projects. Rolls with jam. All animals. Good red wine. Reading books. Jazz. Discretion. Picnicking in the green. The smell in the air after it has rained.
I don't like: Dying trees. Large crowds. Advertising. Envy. Prejudice. Cowards. Taking the bus. Loud music in restaurants. Windows without curtains. People who borrow things and never return them.
I believe:
- that our earth is already in a catastrophic state.
- that our economic system should be changed.
- that we need new paradigms.
My life philosophy:
Several years ago, I returned from a long trip to Australia, during which I thought a lot about my life. In this context, some suggestions and rules emerged, which I like to refer to and orient myself by:
- Be yourself. Don't pretend, because in the long run, it can be very exhausting.
- Be brave and don't be afraid to have new experiences. This is the only way you will make progress on your path.
- Since truth is the whole, try to express it in many forms such as conversations, feelings, art, literature, music, etc.
- Cultivate serenity and do not struggle with what has already passed.
Recently read:
- Thinking for Oneself: A Guide to Resistance (A great book that encourages independent thinking.)
- Small is Beautiful: Economics as if People Mattered (E.F. Schumacher shows here how important it is to find the right measure.)
- Eating Animals (An impressive book by Jonathan Safran Foer on the question of what we eat and what eating means to us.)
My tip to you
I am an absolute nature freak and try to spend my free time outdoors as much as possible. South Tyrol is particularly well suited for this. Since Bolzano is surrounded by many mountains, I often just take the cable car and go to Ritten. In the summer, I love Lake Montiggler and autumn is perfect for a hike on the Salten plateau. A truly extraordinary experience is also the Auener Hof, which is located at 1622 meters and is Italy's highest star-rated restaurant.
