The Pitztal Glacier is not only a real natural gem, but also ensures absolute snow reliability from September to May. Since the merger of the Pitztal Glacier and Rifflsee ski areas, numerous descents of varying difficulty levels invite you to endless skiing pleasure. In the Rifflsee ski area, there are 12km of blue slopes, 10 km of red slopes, and descents on 9km marked as difficult. At the Pitztal Glacier itself, there are 3km of blue, 30km of red, and 4km of black slopes just waiting to be conquered. 12 transport facilities ensure comfortable ascent. These also include an inclined tunnel and the so-called "magic carpet," a conveyor belt for the little ones. Those who are not yet completely confident on skis have the opportunity to train a little more in the beginner and children's practice area in peace.

Have you always wanted to ride Austria's highest cable car? Then the Pitztal Glacier is the right place for you! Since 2012, the new Wildspitzbahn, a detachable single-cable gondola, has been transporting its passengers to the Hinterer Brunnenkogel (3,440m) in less than 6 minutes. Here is also the Cafe 3,440. It meets the highest architectural and technical standards and offers a view of the surrounding mountain world and the 3,774m high Wildspitze.

The Pitztal Glacier is particularly popular with freeriders, as they can conquer the slopes in the early winter months, even if there is no snow in the valley below. In total, there are 41km of variant descents available. Unbroken skiing pleasure can be found, for example, on the Taschachferner valley descent, which leads from Mittelberg to the Gletscherexpress valley station. A special challenge for experienced freeriders is the demanding descent from Mittagskogel, which is located at an altitude of 3,173 meters. Those who want to enjoy powder snow and tree runs safely should rely on the guidance of a mountain guide. He knows the snow and weather conditions on site and is therefore able to assess the avalanche situation realistically.
