Whether you are a beginner, advanced, families or freeriders - here every skier finds "his" favorite slope.
Ski Resort Zillertal 3000
The ski and glacier world Zillertal 3000 includes the ski areas Eggalm, Finkenberg, Rastkogel, Penken/Mayrhofen, Ahorn and the Hintertux Glacier. With just one ski pass, enthusiastic winter sports enthusiasts can conquer more than 800 hectares of ski area. The season starts in December and ends late in April. Due to its high altitude, the Zillertal 3000 ski area is considered particularly snow-sure and is therefore a popular destination for young and old alike. However, skiers have the agony of choice. 193 well-groomed kilometers of slopes are available, from the impressive panoramic descent to the cozy children's descent to the challenging slope. Almost legendary: the 400-meter-long Harakiri descent in Mayrhofen, which more than lives up to its name. The gradient on this deep black slope is 78%, the average slope of the descent is 36%.
Hearty cabin fun
A successful day of skiing also includes a stop for refreshments. There are numerous huts available in the Zillertal for skiers to choose from, whether in a self-service restaurant or in a rustic hut. It goes without saying that predominantly Tyrolean specialties are served.
Glacier tour
A special highlight in the Zillertal 3000 ski area is the so-called Glacier Circuit. This is an extensive tour that requires a great deal of stamina. However, the reward for the endurance is more than appropriate. In one day, 15,000 meters of altitude and 72 kilometers of descents are covered. The last stage is also the most beautiful. The 7km long descent "black pan" forms a worthy conclusion to the impressive tour.
Deep snow magic
Apart from the groomed slopes, the Zillertal has a lot to offer and is therefore a magnet for freeriders and off-piste skiers from all over the world every year. Connoisseurs appreciate the numerous powder runs and the easy accessibility of the runs via the ascent facilities. Note: those who venture into unsecured terrain should heed general rules of conduct and the principles of avalanche awareness. It is advisable to rely on the guidance of an experienced mountain guide, as they can best assess the snow and weather conditions on site.
