Ischgl-Samnaun / Silvretta Arena Ski Resort

In the Silvretta Arena, you can party at least as well as you can ski. Especially the village of Ischgl is known for unique ski openings and parties that last until the early morning hours.

Therefore, the ski area Ischgl-Samnaun attracts predominantly a young audience, but also those who are young at heart and ambitious winter sports enthusiasts.

238 optimally groomed kilometers of slopes extend in front of a magnificent mountain backdrop. Of these, 38km are classified as easy, 155km as medium, and 4km as difficult. The 44 ski lifts can transport up to 88,900 people per hour, so long waiting times for the ascent are not an issue here. The Silvretta Arena meets a wide variety of demands, but is particularly popular with ambitious skiers. As one of the few ski areas in Austria, the Arena has 11 black slopes. Tip: a real challenge for every winter sports enthusiast is the so-called Route Eleven. It combines black and red descents over a length of 11km and leads from Greitspitz (2,872m) to the valley, to Ischgl.

Cross-border skiing

Have you ever heard of the Smugglers' Round? It covers 35 kilometers of slopes and leads across the border of Austria into Switzerland and back again. Shopping fans should definitely bring their big wallet, because in Samnaun you can shop duty-free. Note: anyone heading to Switzerland to shop must have a passport with them. There are also customs regulations to consider for shopping in Samnaun.

Aprés-Ski Mecca

Those who spend their ski vacation in the Silvretta Arena dive into the nightlife of Ischgl after a successful day of skiing. Here, not only après-ski is important, but also international flair. Numerous bars, lounges, upscale restaurants, and large clubs invite you to turn night into day. At the beginning and end of the season, Ischgl gets particularly loud. This is when there are "Top of the Mountain" concerts with international music stars.

Powder snow & mogul slope

Whether it's an elegant descent in deep snow or an enjoyable ride on the mogul slope, freeriders get their money's worth off-piste. Many runs are easily accessible via the ski lifts and start directly at the respective mountain station. As always, choose lines carefully and listen to the avalanche and weather warning service. Numerous ski schools also offer the opportunity to be accompanied by a knowledgeable mountain guide.

Basic data:
44 ski lifts
238 kilometers of slopes in total
1377 altitude at the valley station
2872 altitude at the mountain station
