The Kitzbühel Alps have a long and traditional history. For more than 100 years, the mountain world around Kitzbühel has been one of the most popular ski resorts in the world.
This is not only due to the snow reliability and the excellent condition of the slopes, but also to the legendary descent on the Streif. Every year, the ski-enthusiastic crowd flocks to Kitzbühel to experience the exciting World Cup races up close. Highlight for many skiers and snowboarders: the Elephant Round Ski Safari. It leads from Kitzbühel/Kirchberg to Resterhöhe/Paß Thurn without ever needing to take a ski bus.
