The Alpine Coaster in Hoch-Imst in the holiday region of Imst in the west of Tyrol is the absolute showpiece of its kind! With a track length of 3.5 km, it is the longest alpine roller coaster in the world!
The ultimate sledding fun starts right at the middle station of the Imster Bergbahnen. Here, at an altitude of 1,500 m, you board the sled after a comfortable ride up the mountain, fasten your belts, and off you go! The first surprises and thrills are not long in coming, and after just a few meters, waves and steep curves provide pure adrenaline! Rapid turns take your breath away, and the track sometimes runs 6 m above the ground. The steep jumps are particularly spectacular: with a gradient of up to 6 m, they are truly not for the faint-hearted!
Despite all the action, the Alpine Coaster is an absolutely family-friendly excursion destination! The sled ride is fun for both young and old, where safety is, of course, always the top priority. Children are allowed to ride from the age of 3 and can ride alone from the age of 8. The track can be completed either in single or double-seaters. On the Alpine Coaster, the sled does not glide down a concrete, stainless steel, or plastic trough like on other summer toboggan runs, but on a four-pipe rail system. The sled's rollers rest on the outer pipes, while the inner pipes are grasped by the brakes. This makes it impossible for the sled to derail. Operating the sled is child's play: it's simply controlled with the two side brake levers. This way, everyone can determine their optimal riding speed! The Alpine Coaster's braking system also works in rain or snow, allowing for year-round operation.
As an additional attraction, Albin's play park awaits at the valley station of the Imster Bergbahnen. Slides, swings, quad track, trampoline, and bungee trampoline make children's hearts beat faster. And for the perfect children's birthday, there are also special offers at the Alpine Coaster in Hoch-Imst. The Alpine Coaster in Imst - you're going to love it!
