Green larch forests, an extensive network of hiking trails and bike paths, cross-country ski trails in winter. In short: a perfect destination for a sporty active holiday.
Golfclub Mieminger Plateau
When the plateau in Mieming is mentioned, the term “sun plateau” is often used. The explanation is obvious - a look at the sky makes it clear that you will find a particularly sun-drenched spot of land here. More than 2,000 hours of sunshine per year present the area in a friendly light in summer as well as in winter. With such ideal conditions, and given the sporty orientation, it is only a logical conclusion that golf also plays a major role here. In this natural paradise at the foot of the Mieminger Kette, the well-known golf course designer Keith Preston has created a landscape that combines regional, natural elements with sporting challenge, creativity, and elegance. Following a principle of the Hopi Indians, according to which man is not here to dominate or exploit nature, because he himself is nature, Preston has implemented the harmonious overall picture of the course and placed great emphasis on the preservation of the natural character of this place. The mountain giants gently watch over the golf course, always keeping their surroundings in mind.
For champions and those on their way there
The 18-hole Champion Course for experienced golfers and the 9-hole Park Course for those who have just started playing golf or have not yet gained much experience together make up an impressive 27-hole facility. The Champion Course with a par of 73 reaches a length of more than 6,500 meters. And another unique feature: Take a deep breath - it is the purest mountain air that you can let into your lungs here. In addition, the location offers a peaceful experience of a special kind - far from the noise of the city, surrounded by greenery.
The Park Course has a par of 58 and a length of just over 2,800 meters - perfect conditions for when you want to play quickly or when a group (such as colleagues or birthday celebrants) wants to hold a not too long tournament. From here, you can overlook the Inn Valley - all the way to Innsbruck. In addition, the Ötztal Alps and the Lechtal Alps also come into impressive panoramic view and let nature play its beauty card. The Golf Academy is available for practice sessions. Three large putting greens with different speed options and two sand bunkers extend over the 10,000 square meter practice area. Fairways with different cutting heights, hollows, slopes, and hills allow for rich testing and sharpening of your own skills.
Alpine hut delicacies and steaks from green cattle
Naturally, hunger can strike in between. This is the time when the Stöttlalm comes into play. The rustic wooden hut with the characteristic stones on the roof offers you not only a panoramic view and coziness, but also strengthening Tyrolean specialties and - depending on the season - a special treat that is directly related to the rustic hut atmosphere: cheese fondue!
A more modern atmosphere can be found in the newly built Golfrestaurant “Greenvieh”, which has created a successful combination of regional wood construction and modern architecture. Gourmet cuisine with local references will delight your palate here. This also includes juicy steaks from the charcoal grill. With its golf club, the Mieminger Plateau has created an idyllic place where both beginners and professionals can indulge in a huge amount of satisfaction.
