Lazaun Toboggan Run

The very athletic can dare the ascent on foot and should plan for about one hour of travel time. Those who find this too strenuous can also be taken up by the existing chairlift.
At an altitude of 2,430 meters, the arriving person is offered a breathtaking panorama of the surrounding peaks of the Schnalstal.

Over a length of 3.5 kilometers, the train leads from the Lazauner Alm through a forest section to the valley station of the chairlift in Kurzras. In the process, you cover 430 meters of altitude difference. The tracks are suitable for experienced tobogganers as well as for children.

A sled rental in the valley ensures that even the spontaneous can bring an additional load of fun into their winter holiday. It opens with the start of the ski season until about the end of April.

The glacier noticeably exerts its influence on the area and thus creates an impressive coexistence of rare fauna and flora. Maybe you'll even encounter a ptarmigan or snow grouse on your way. Quaint huts like the Lazaunhütte, but also some hotels in Kurzras, offer you accommodations and immersion into the regional culinary program, which is seasoned with a generous pinch of tradition.

In Kurzras, by the way, you are at more than 2,000 meters and surrounded by several mighty three-thousanders in the highest village of the Schnalstal. This is also reflected in the mountain air, which is incredibly pure here. And you can feel that with every breath.
