Rifiano and Caines

At the entrance to the Passeier Valley, only 5km from the spa town of Merano, you will find the holiday resorts Rifiano and Caines. Rifiano / Riffian is a traditional place of pilgrimage, worth seeing is the baroque pilgrimage church "Zu den sieben Schmerzen Marias" with the impressive Stations of the Cross. The chapel next to the church is richly decorated with late Gothic frescoes. The parish church of Kuens also shows beautiful wall paintings on the outer wall and a sundial from the year 1450. Also, visit the tractor museum with the largest collection of "Porsche-Diesels" in South Tyrol and the prehistoric settlement site Burgstall!

Those who come to Rifiano and Caines are on holiday in a hiking paradise. Countless hiking trails lead into the Texel Group Nature Park and the surrounding Sarntaler, Stubai, and Ötztal Alps. In the winter, you can also go winter and snowshoe hiking and enjoy great ski tours.
