Between vineyards and orchards

Holiday in Marlengo / Marling

The mountains and forests around the town offer endless opportunities for hiking. Nordic walking can also be practiced with or without an instructor. Walking paths and promenades are located in the valley among the fruit trees, shady Waal paths run along the old irrigation canals, and beautiful hiking trails lead to sunny alpine meadows. You can reach the 1,795m high Vigiljoch via alpine paths, from where a magnificent panorama from the Dolomites to the Ortler opens up. A worthwhile excursion destination is Schloss Lebenberg. The high medieval castle complex above the neighboring municipality of Tscherms can be visited from March to October.

For cyclists and mountain bikers, the Etschtal is a paradise, and Marlengo is no exception. Golfers have two clubs to choose from: the Lana Golf Club and the Passeier-Meran Golf Club, both beautiful facilities with exclusive ambience. The leisure activities for your summer vacation also include climbing, hang gliding and paragliding, rafting, horseback riding, and tennis.

During the winter vacation, the town scores with romance. The ski areas Vigiljoch and Meran 2000 offer fun on the slopes for skiing, snowboarding and cross-country skiing. Above all, in Marlengo you can also enjoy hiking and snowshoeing in winter, as well as sledding or sleigh rides.

Enjoy Your Holiday!

The Meran Thermal Baths are a year-round haven of wellness and well-being. 25 pools, 8 saunas and steam baths, a fitness center and the 1,400 m² Spa & Vital Center leave nothing to be desired.

In addition to the Parish Church of Maria Assumption - a neo-Gothic building erected above the old church from the 11th century - the small pilgrimage church of St. Felix is particularly noteworthy. The spring at the church is attributed with healing effects, and a spring sanctuary in the church suggests that this place dates back to a pre-Christian cult site.

In Marlengo / Marling, you can choose from a variety of excellent hotels and guesthouses for your vacation in South Tyrol, from family-friendly hotels to wellness and spa temples. The hotels are known for their first-class service and are happy to fulfill your individual wishes.
A little southwest of Meran, between vineyards and orchards, lies the small municipality of Marlengo / Marling. The idyllic location at the foot of the Marlinger Berg, the mild, Mediterranean-influenced climate, and first-class hotels make Marlengo an ideal holiday destination.

Stadtmuseum Meran (City Museum) in Palais Mamming

Merano once again hosts a city museum, which was opened in the impressive historical ambiance of the Palais Mamming. However, the palace alone could not accommodate the extensive collection, so it was not only lovingly restored, but a new part of the museum was also created, which was integrated directly into the Küchelberg behind it.
