Holiday on the Sun Road in

Falzes / Pfalzen

The holiday resort of Falzes / Pfalzen is located on the Pustertal Sun Road and has around 1450 inhabitants. The municipality includes the villages of Issing, Greinwalden, Mühlen, and Platten.

In the warm summer months, hikes through the idyllic landscape are on the program here. The circular route "Steine erzählen" (Stones tell) or a tour to the Bärentaler Spitze are very popular. But the Sambock or the Pfunderer Höhenwege are also attractive hiking routes. The rustic mountain huts are recommended - here hikers stop for a South Tyrolean snack and a refreshing drink. Sporty tourists can let off steam in the mountains with mountain biking or Nordic walking. In addition, the Kronaction high ropes course offers a lot of fun for young and old: Various paths with different levels of difficulty demand a lot from their visitors.

Fun in the water and sightseeing

The Issinger Weiher, a natural bathing lake, offers a little refreshment on hot days. Surrounded by forests and meadows, you will find bathing fun against a pretty backdrop. However, the lake attracts numerous tourists during the high season - so this lake is less suitable for undisturbed relaxation.

Sights in Falzes / Pfalzen and the surrounding area include Schloss Schöneck, the birthplace of Oswald von Wolkenstein, a singer and poet from the late Middle Ages. For nature lovers, the herb garden and the Bergila mountain pine oil distillery are highlights.

Hit the slopes!

In winter, the Pustertal valley turns into a wonderful ski landscape: Especially the ski areas of the Kronplatz region are popular meeting places for winter sports fans. Whether cross-country skiing, downhill fun, or tobogganing - there is something for every taste here in Falzes / Pfalzen and the surrounding area, there are various accommodation options: Wellness hotels, guesthouses, apartments, or holiday homes, for example, are available.
