Sesto / Sexten, the gateway to the Tre Cime in the Sexten Dolomites National Park, is located at an altitude of 1,300m directly on the border with East Tyrol. As for cultural highlights, Sesto / Sexten is home to the parish church of St. Peter and Paul with ceiling frescoes by the South Tyrolean painter Rudolf Stolz, who also has a museum dedicated to him in the town center. A "Dance of Death" by Stolz can be admired at the entrance to the cemetery.
