Winter vacation

Since the year 2000, the ski areas of Zell, Königsleiten, and Gerlos have been combined in the "Zillertal Arena". Visitors will find 166 kilometers of slopes and 49 lifts. Those who can't get enough of their favorite sport can also ski downhill late at night during night skiing.

The Skiline system records the personal ski day. This allows you to check at any time which slopes and lifts were used, as well as how many meters and kilometers of altitude were covered. On the speed check track at Kreuzwiese in Zell, ambitious skiers can set their personal speed record.
On three routes, you can have a video, a so-called "ski movie", made of yourself, which is available for download and email delivery in the evening.

Zell has a lot to offer, especially for families with children. This includes ski and snowboard lessons, a children's park, a children's pick-up service, ski races, children's ski disco, and a kindergarten for young guests from two years of age.
Traditional stops at the numerous huts and the attractive après-ski offerings complete a ski vacation in Zell.

For those who prefer to experience the wintry mountain world away from the hustle and bustle, there are excellent conditions for ski tours. Experienced mountain sports enthusiasts and beginners can take part in guided tours and get tips and tricks from professionals.

In addition, you can also enjoy nature while tobogganing or snowshoeing and winter hiking. A special highlight is a llama winter hike into Schwarzachtal, where the luggage is carried by llamas.
There is a 13-kilometer cross-country ski trail waiting for cross-country sports enthusiasts, which is connected to the regional cross-country ski trails to Mayrhofen and Hippach.

There are three winter running routes of different difficulty levels available for runners.

Summer vacation

In the "Zeller Wanderarena", numerous routes of different difficulty levels await active holidaymakers - from leisurely walks to challenging tours. The Rosenalmbahn, Gerlossteinbahn, Isskogelbahn, Königsleiten Dorfbahn, and the Ramsberglift are also in operation in summer and take relaxation seekers to the best starting points for hikes and walks.

Adventurous individuals can test their fitness and skill on the Gerlossteinwand via ferrata.
Mountain bikers will find wonderful forest paths, nature trails, and single trails. With the "Biketicket Zell-Gerlos", you can use the cable cars with your bike and take advantage of the services of the bike rentals at a favorable price.

At the Zillertal Regional Museum, as well as at the Gold Mine and the Cheese Dairy, visitors can get an impression of past life and work environments.

The "Zillertal Activcard" offers numerous discounts or free use of various facilities throughout the entire Zillertal.

Year-round offers

All year round, paragliders can take individual and tandem flights in the World Cup venue of Zell.
Adventurous individuals can get an adrenaline kick on the roller coaster, the so-called "Arena Coaster", or on the "Arena Skyliner".

In the Zell leisure park, there are numerous leisure activities available, including tennis, volleyball, mini golf, ice skating, ice stock sport, sports bowling, soccer, and a children's play area.

The numerous offerings of the region, especially the impressive landscape, culinary highlights, and the combination of tradition and modern comfort, make a vacation in Zell an unforgettable experience.
