Vacation in Alpbach

Alpbach is located about 27 kilometers by car from Wörgl and has a lot to offer to its guests in summer and winter. The full wooden houses in the village and the farms in the surrounding area are particularly idyllic. The picturesque village is often referred to as the "Most Beautiful Village in Austria."

Congress Centrum Alpbach

In 1999, the Congress Centrum was opened, whose modern architectural style fits in perfectly with the traditional village. The building, which has almost 1,600 m² of rental seminar and conference rooms, is embedded in the slope. The special highlight is the glass construction, which brings daylight into the lower levels. Through the windows of the large plenary hall, you can see the breathtaking panorama of the surrounding mountain landscape.

Local Museum

Above the Inneralpbach, in the Vorder-Unterberg farmhouse, which was built in the 1630s, the museum is located. The history of regional life can be traced back through approximately 800 everyday and household items.

Tyrolean Farmhouse Museum

The open-air museum in Kramsach offers interesting insights into the long-gone days of the local farming community.

Artisan Crafts

In the magical world of glass, you can experience up close how special glass objects are created from hot glowing lumps. You can also watch craftsmen at work in the candle world of Brixlegg, the Alpbach grain mill, the Sandbichler Kundl stone lathe, Lisl Wörz's workshop for Christmas and Easter articles, and the Giesswein walk.

Summer vacation

In summer, the peaks and lakes of the surrounding area attract outdoor sports enthusiasts. 900 kilometers of hiking and walking trails invite you to explore the Kitzbühel Alps, the Rofan Range, and the Brandenberg Alps. Along the way, you can stop at a managed hut and enjoy a hearty snack of local specialties. For those who do not want to venture out on their own, there are guided hikes available. An exciting alternative is Segway trekking tours offered locally.

Cyclists can explore 20 mountain bike routes and 5 road bike tours (on paved routes) in the "Bikearena Alpbachtal Seenland," as well as the Inn cycle path, the Zillertal cycle path, and two sections of the "Bike Trail Tirol," which spans 1,000 kilometers across the country. Leisure cyclists can set off on an e-bike. For those seeking action, there are opportunities to test their skills in the high ropes course in Kramsach, the climbing hall in Reith, the climbing garden at Berghaus Sonnwendjoch, the skate park, or whitewater sports in the surrounding rivers, while the more adventurous can get their desired adrenaline kick from skydiving or paragliding. Water enthusiasts can cool off and relax in the Reintalersee, Krummsee, Reither See, Berglsteinersee, or Badl Breitenbach.

Winter Vacation

Ski fans can enjoy the new ski area "Ski Juwel Alpbachtal Wildschönau" with its 145 kilometers of slopes. Experienced skiers will enjoy off-piste skiing. In addition to night skiing under floodlights on the Reither Kogel, Alpbach also offers tobogganing, cross-country skiing, winter hiking, or wonderful ski tours into untouched nature.

Families

For families, age-appropriate children's programs are offered in summer and winter, such as the "Juppi Kids Club," so that even the youngest guests can enjoy the holiday wholeheartedly.

Tip: Alpbachtal Seenland Card: You can get this card for free all year round at all accommodation facilities in the Alpbachtal Seenland region. In summer, it includes mountain lifts, buses, swimming pools, museums, and activity programs. In winter, it includes buses, activity programs, adventure pool, and great benefits.
