The largest of the Kramsach lakes reaches pleasant water temperatures of up to 26 degrees Celsius in summer. Fed by groundwater and with a drainage channel to the neighboring Krummsee, the Reintaler See has high water quality, which can be felt pleasantly on the skin when jumping into the cool water.
Reintaler Lake
The lake consists of three natural basins, the eastern one being the deepest at just over 10 meters. A hiking trail around the lake area reveals the beauty of the region with a walking time of about an hour. Interested visitors can also take a detour to the "Open Air Museum of Tyrolean Farmhouses" east of the lake, where 14 farms from different parts of Tyrol reflect the diversity of the country.
Bathing in the lap of Mother Nature
For many, the main reason to come here remains swimming in this beautiful natural setting. The paid bathing ticket not only allows you to plunge into the waters, but also entitles you to use the well-kept sunbathing lawns, changing facilities, and the children's playground. For nude swimmers, there is a separate, designated area. Restaurants and beach cafes provide culinary delights, while a beach volleyball court, boat rental, and a camping area complete the offerings. However, please note: Private boats are not allowed here, except for children's inflatable boats.
Fish as far as the fishing line reaches
The diversity of fish species present here brings every angler into a state of pleasant euphoria. Carp, catfish, pike, eels, perch, and some white fish species swim around here – some faster, some slower. If you have the appropriate fishing knowledge and would like to see one of these fish on your plate, you can purchase a fishing card at the Fischerstube restaurant – and nothing stands in the way of a cozy day of fishing.
Coming from Kramsach, you can reach the Reintaler See by simply following the signs "Zu den Seen" (To the Lakes). First, you will be welcomed by the Krummsee. Then, a little further, you will arrive at the fee-based parking lot of the Reintaler See at an altitude of 520 meters above sea level. It is also possible to arrive without your own car without any major problems – a bus is available to take you directly to the swimming paradise and of course also brings you back from there.
