The Dreieckspitze is a peak of the Riesenferner group and offers you a cross-border experience, as it is geographically located on the border of Austria and Italy.
Parkplatz Knuttental you go along the forest road 8a towards Ebnerhof. Follow the path through the magnificent forest landscape and you will first reach the Untere Kofleralm. Continue the path towards Oberer Kofleralm. Just before the upper alp, turn left, get onto a ski track and flatter terrain. After some time, it goes uphill again to the Kofler lakes. From here you can already enjoy the unique view of the glaciers of the Riesenferner group.
Bärenluegscharte at 2,848 meters above sea level. Look up and you will already be able to recognize the summit goal. After a crossing point, the path rises steeply again – after all, conquering a real three-thousander requires some work. Once at the top, you are at an altitude of 3,030 meters and can cast a sweeping glance over the sun-drenched Ahrntal glaciers.
Knuttenalm and finally to the forest road along the toboggan run, which brings you back to the starting point, the parking lot in Rein.
