Above all, the Serlesbahnen ski area in Mieders is a fixed size for tobogganers, as it has a 6 kilometer long, Tyrolean Seal of Quality awarded natural toboggan run.
Of course, you are also free to tackle the ascent using human muscle power. For the way over meadows and past a Stations of the Cross to the mountain station, you should plan for approximately two hours. From the mountain station of the cable car, it goes down to the valley station over a winding route. In doing so, an altitude difference of 650 meters is overcome.
Because the track is relatively simple and equipped with long straights, it is consistently well suited for families with children.
Next to the mountain station, in the form of the restaurant Hochserles-Koppeneck, a cozy stop awaits you. Take a break to try regional cheese dumplings, a hearty bacon snack or a tasty shredded pancake. Since the restaurant is located at an altitude of 1,600 meters, the in-house sun terrace presents you with an impressive view of the surrounding mountains of the Stubai Alps. By the way, you can stop by here daily until 01:00 AM.
In the upper section of the toboggan run, you can branch off to another track – the Sonnenstein toboggan run. Or you work your way up a little further and then make the Waldrastsattel toboggan run unsafe, which merges back into the main toboggan run towards the end.
The main track is in any case bathed in mystical light on Tuesday and Friday from 7:00 PM to 01:00 AM. That's when moon tobogganing is on, and the cable cars crank up their operation additionally from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM.
