At an altitude of 1,650 meters, the starting signal is given for the 7 kilometer long Gerlosstein toboggan run along the Hainzenberg. For friends of superlatives: this is the longest illuminated natural toboggan run in the Zillertal in Tyrol.
The Gerlosstein cable car ensures a comfortable ascent, quickly taking you to the starting point of the toboggan track. Alternatively, you can also overcome the 700 meters of altitude difference on foot in 2.5 hours.
Not far from the mountain station, there is the Gerlosstein mountain hotel, which not only offers space for culinary refreshment but also provides rooms for overnight stays. The kitchen conjures up Tyrolean delicacies. If you like it hearty, you can go for spare ribs, dumplings, and pork knuckle (by pre-order). But don't worry, vegetarians and calorie counters are also considered here. Enjoy a glass of crystal clear mountain water with your meal, which is bottled here from the own spring. Whether you do this on the sun terrace, in the cozy pine parlor, or in the comfortably warm tiled stove parlor is entirely up to you.
The toboggan track is easy to manage and therefore also suitable for little tobogganing masters. A toboggan rental is located at the valley station of the Gerlosstein cable car.
Night owls get their money's worth here from Monday to Saturday. Then the track is illuminated until 01:00 in the morning and the cable car operates from 19:45 to 21:15.
