Where are the hidden places in the Dolomites?

In the Dolomites, there are numerous well-known places that are naturally no longer an insider tip, but also those where one can - in the truest sense of the word - still 'get out of the way'.

Hiking in the Gsies Valley

This includes, for example, the Lüsen Valley, which is also referred to as the "Gateway to the Dolomites". A fantastic panorama is offered from the pilgrimage site of Holy Cross, where you can look out over the 2000 meters high over the dreamlike mountain landscapes of the Dolomites . Culture lovers are drawn to St. Martin in Thurn, where you can immerse yourself in Ladin history at the museum.

Above Wolkenstein is also the village of Stevia, where you can enjoy wonderful sunrises . Also less known is Gais in the Puster Valley, a village where the unique Firefighters' Helmet Museum can be found. From Gais you can also reach Neuhaus Castle or the so-called Kehlburg, where the "Kehlburg May Festival" used to be held. Picturesque mountain huts and traditional farms shape the village landscape of the Gsies Valley, which is a popular starting point for hikes. Another village of peaceful relaxation is Kiens, a mystical place that was especially known for its healing bath in the past.
