Castle and monument
In St. Christina, there is not only nature to discover, but also culture. For example, the Fischburg, located on the border with Selva di Val Gardena. This was built in the 17th century by Engelhard Dietrich von Wolkenstein-Trostburg and used as a summer and hunting lodge. However, today the building is no longer accessible and can only be admired from the outside. Another attraction is the Luis Trenker Memorial, which is intended to commemorate a celebrity from Val Gardena: Luis Trenker, who lived in the 19th and 20th centuries and was, among other things, a mountaineer, actor, director, and author. Also worth seeing is the St. Jakob Church, located above St. Ulrich. The religious site of St. Christina can be reached on foot in about one and a half hours.
It is recommended to stay in one of the quaint inns in the municipality. Here, visitors also have the opportunity to dine traditionally.
