Nova Levante

The municipality of Nova Levante / Welschnofen is located in the rear part of the Eggental and includes the hillside village as well as the extensive area around Lake Karer. This area extends with meadows and forests to the Rosengarten mountain range and the Karerpass. The lake is definitely worth a visit: Even the Dalai Lama was impressed by the idyllic waters.

The village was first mentioned in 1142, but it has only been fully inhabited year-round for about 100 years. With its scenic location and good tourist infrastructure, the municipality is an interesting holiday destination in summer and winter. The beautiful panorama of the famous Rosengarten is worth seeing.
