Vacation in Längenfeld

The village is located on the wide valley floor, from which the slopes of the Ötztal and Stubai Alps rise steeply to the west and east. The largest town in the Ötztal valley captivates its visitors with its picturesque location and also attracts with optimal offers for lovers of mountain and outdoor sports.

Winter holiday

Especially for cross-country skiers, Längenfeld offers the best conditions. Around 50 kilometers of cross-country ski trails of varying difficulty levels for classic skiers and skaters wind through the surrounding area of the village. On the night trail in Oberried, you can even ski under floodlights until 9 p.m. Biathletes can train on the high-altitude trail in Gries above Längenfeld. The cross-country ski bus takes guests to the best trails for free, and on-site there are equipment rentals and cross-country ski instructors available. Alpine skiers can let off steam in the small but fine family ski area Gries away from the hustle and bustle. The nearby large ski areas, such as Sölden, Obergurgl, etc., are easy to reach and make the hearts of experienced skiers and snowboarders beat faster. In Längenfeld, ski tourers, snowshoers, winter hikers, and ice climbers also find the best conditions. Alternatively, you can spend fun hours tobogganing, ice skating, and playing ice stock sport, or take a romantic horse-drawn sleigh ride through the snowy landscape.

Summer holiday

In the warm season, the surrounding mountains are perfect for hiking. Guides are available on-site, and the mountain huts, taxis, and hiking buses ensure that guests reach their destination safely. The high altitude (at 1,200 meters above sea level) makes Längenfeld a popular training center for runners and endurance athletes. The local climbing gardens and via ferratas invite the daring to test their fitness and skill. In addition, there are wonderful routes for mountain biking and exciting offers for canyoning, rafting, horseback riding, swimming, fishing, and much more. Teenagers can let off steam in the Funpark Huben, which offers a skate park, a trampoline, tube slides, and climbing towers.

Behavior in the High Mountains

High up, surrounded by a breathtaking mountain panorama, different rules apply than down in the valley. The weather turns faster, a planned tour sometimes requires more effort than expected, and a small misstep can sometimes necessitate an early return.
