About 700 years old is Starkenberg Castle. The castle was built at the beginning of the 14th century by the then very powerful Starkenberg knights in Tyrol to protect the Via Claudia Augusta and the Salvesen valley. Around 1780, the Imster merchant family Strele acquired the castle and converted it into a palace. Beer for personal use was already brewed at Starkenberg Castle at that time. At the beginning of the 19th century, they began to deliver also outside and therefore expanded the brewery gradually. Over the years, the operation has been brought up to date with the latest technology. Brewing is still done strictly according to the purity law and without any chemical additives. Starkenberg beer is pure nature.

This quality is also recognized worldwide, Starkenberg Brewery is the most awarded brewery in Austria and perhaps even in Europe: In the past 30 years, Starkenberg beers have won no less than 39 gold medals at the international beer olympiad, the so-called 'Monde Selection'.

So, Starkenberg Castle is the ideal space for the beer experience world, because here beer is cult! The beer myth Starkenberg also impresses with a lot of interesting information and spectacular attractions. In an entertaining tour, you go through the whole brewery in full operation, from the old brewhouse from the 19th century to the underground vaults and cellars of the castle. You learn everything about brewing beer, its history, and developments up to the present. But the castle itself is also highly interesting: In the knight's hall, you can dine both sitting and - according to old custom - lying down. In addition, the romantic park with the castle chapel, which is often used for weddings, and the idyllic Starkenberg lake are open to visitors.

A special attraction of the beer experience world Beer Myth is the beer swimming pool! A total of 7 pools can be filled with beer sediment and rented for an evening. These sediments - not pure beer, but settled beer yeast - are extremely effective for various skin diseases, plus the carbon dioxide stimulates blood circulation and makes the skin supple.

Those who prefer to drink the delicious Starkenberg beer can do so right in the 'Schloss Stub'n', where you can also dine excellently. This completes the unique program of culture, information, tradition, nature, and culinary delights of the beer experience world Beer Myth perfectly.
