Andriano

Andriano on the South Tyrolean Wine Road is one of the smallest municipalities in South Tyrol with just over 1,000 inhabitants. Located only 11km from Bolzano, it lies on the west side of the Adige valley opposite Terlan, a typical South Tyrolean apple and wine village, sunny and quiet, in short: the ideal holiday destination for those seeking relaxation, wellness, and gourmet holidays.

In addition to the parish church, the Sternbauerhof with its beautiful frescoes from the 16th century is also worth seeing. The winery cooperative – incidentally the oldest in South Tyrol – is also definitely worth a visit, here you can discover and buy many a good drop.

In spring, summer, and autumn, it is wonderful for hiking, countless hiking trails lead into the surrounding mountains. Hikes to the ruins of Hocheppan, Ferstenstein, or Neuhaus are an experience for both young and old. Especially in autumn, when the chestnuts are ripe and the leaves turn colorful, the forests around Andriano are beautiful.

Summer is also bathing season! The nearby swimming lakes, the beautifully situated outdoor pool, or the pool of your hotel invite you to swim and lounge. Tennis and golf – in Lana, Petersberg, Sarnonico, or the Passeier Valley – are also part of the leisure activities for your summer holiday. And of course, the bike paths and mountain bike routes of the Adige valley give cyclists plenty of opportunity to indulge in their sport. Every May 1st, by the way, there is a traditional folk cycling event followed by a spring festival.

Even in winter holidays, the surrounding mountains invite you to hike. Winter hiking and snowshoeing on the heights around Andriano is a pleasure experience for every nature lover. Otherwise, Andriano is not a typical winter sports resort, but the ski areas of the Ortler Ski Arena, Meran 2000, Vigiljoch, and Rittner Horn are within reach and offer skiers, snowboarders, and cross-country skiers plenty of opportunities for active sports.

Andriano has a number of high-class and traditional hotels. Service, ambiance, and cuisine are at a high level and match the image of the quiet, contemplative holiday village. Various wellness and gourmet offers ensure that the guest feels completely at ease during their vacation.
