Snowparks in South Tyrol, the absolute hotspots!

In addition to the 'classic' alpine skiers, the freestyle scene has gained an ever-increasing following in recent years. This is not only with the audience, which is naturally thrilled by the spectacular and often immensely acrobatic competitions in the young disciplines, but also among a growing number of participants.

In South Tyrol, the new trends have been taken into account from the beginning and attractive snow and fun parks have been built in all ski areas.

One of the most renowned snowparks in Europe is the King Laurin Snowpark on the Seiser Alm. Often ranked among the top hotspots, the King Laurin Snowpark offers two lines with numerous obstacles – 'Kickers', 'Boxes' and 'Steps' – and a standard halfpipe, as well as an overall great, professional environment. At the ISPO Snowsummit Awards, the King Laurin Snowpark was named one of the five most beautiful parks in Europe. Numerous events and contests throughout the season additionally ensure a great atmosphere.

The highest snowpark in South Tyrol is the Nitro Snowpark on the Schnalstal Glacier. This snowpark was one of the first in South Tyrol, and through continuous extensions, it has become one of the best hotspots in the scene. At an altitude of around 3,200 m, there is an Easyline, a Mediumline, and a Proline. Practically the whole year round, the freestyle and snowboarding scene bustles here.

Alta Badia & Snowpark Ciampai

Alta Badia was chosen as the best ski area in the Alps by the Italian Touring Club in 2008, and of course, it also boasts a beautiful snowpark.

The Snowpark Ciampai is equipped with a halfpipe, various rails and jumps, as well as a boardercross track and is especially suitable for beginners who want to try their first freestyle attempts here.
More spectacular is South Tyrol's number one ski mountain, Kronplatz in Pustertal. Here, they are not satisfied with mediocrity: the Snowpark Kronplatz is now the largest of its kind in South Tyrol. Covering an area of 75,000m², four lines of varying difficulty levels offer fun and action for beginners and professionals.

Snowpark in Obereggen

One of the top addresses for freestylers is the Snowpark in Obereggen. With the gigantic S-Box, a Straight-Rail of 12 meters, a Rainbow-Box of 8 meters, a Kinked-Box and the new Fat-Box, as well as the legendary halfpipe in the scene, the Snowpark Obereggen leaves nothing to be desired. Numerous freestyle contests emphasize its significance as one of the top hotspots in the Alps.
