The Adventure Park and High Ropes Course Skytrek has been open since March 2013. It is located directly at the Rosskopf valley station and offers its visitors thrills in a total of six courses with 80 elements and various obstacles. Here, you can test your skills on balance beams, wobbly bridges, and nets before zooming back down to the ground on a zipline at the end of the course.
Pure adventure: High ropes course Skytrek in Sterzing
The climbing park is constantly being expanded with new obstacles and elements. Furthermore, great emphasis was placed on tree-friendly and sustainable construction during the planning and construction of the adventure park. Before construction, all trees were checked for suitability, and no holes were drilled for mounting the platforms. Pressure pads were used to distribute the pressure regularly, and all rope tensions were color-matched and placed around trees with sufficient width so as not to damage the bark. The fixed steel cable was additionally secured with another steel cable. In order to avoid damage to the tree, so-called backup wood is used.
Trained Guides
Those planning an adventurous day at the Sterzing Climbing Park will receive instruction in the technique from trained guides before starting their ascent. They also check harnesses and helmets and accompany visitors in the instruction park, observing how they clip in or balance on ropes, and are immediately on hand in case of any uncertainties.
Unforgettable Experience: A Child's Birthday at the Climbing Park
Another unique gift is birthday climbing in the adventure park, which normally lasts three hours. Participants under 14 years old climb accompanied by an adult, and if there are not enough accompanying persons available, trainers can also be booked in advance. If more than five children participate in the climbing, the birthday child's entry is free. Additionally, a brightly decorated birthday table awaits the children as a surprise.
