Wave Water World

Wörgl in Tyrol boasts one of the most beautiful and spectacular adventure pools in the Alps. The highlight is the world's first double-looping water slide. Truly nothing for the faint-hearted!

The Wave Wasserwelt in Wörgl is Tyrol's largest and probably most beautiful adventure pool. Indoors and outdoors, there's simply everything that belongs to swimming and having fun in the water. A 25 m sports pool, a wave pool with natural stone beach, and in summer the outdoor pool guarantee plenty of room to move for water rats. For the kids, there is a harbor basin with a pirate ship and the mini club with animation and supervision. In summer, there is also a bouncy castle outside, a stream with a sun sail and a great adventure playground.

However, the most spectacular attractions of the Wave Wasserwelt are undoubtedly the fantastic water slides. Whether in the 84 m long tire slide or on a speed record hunt in Austria's only Formula 1 racing slide – things really get moving here! But towering above everything is the world's first double looping water slide, called L2 for short and harmless. However, L2 is a real test of courage, not for the faint-hearted or edge-of-the-pool swimmers.

At a height of 25 meters, it starts in "rocket start mode", a trap door opens, and you plunge 14 m in almost free fall into the depths. Top speeds of up to 65 km/h are possible, then you defy the laws of gravity through the two loopings, followed by a 180° change of direction before you finally come to a stop in the flat water run-out. This speed and adrenaline rush lasts 129 m or a good 12 seconds.

Sauna like Caesar and Cleopatra

With so much action, of course, there also needs to be a corresponding area to relax and chill. Isla Sola is the relaxation and wellness zone of the Wave Wasserwelt. Here, in addition to a beautiful brine bath with volcanic bubble, you will also find tropical rain showers and a pent pool with champagne bubble loungers. In the "Sauna Residence of the Romans", over 2,000 m² awaits you with a variety of different cabins for a sauna experience that is second to none. Whether in the Senate's sauna, in the Augustus steam bath, or in the Elysium, whether in the grottos of Pompeii or in the lagoons – experience a completely new dimension of relaxation and recreation.

Of course, the Wave Wasserwelt also includes a first-class restaurant with an ice cream parlor and pastry shop. In the Wave Waterlounge by the wave pool, you can chill out with all kinds of fine drinks and cocktails. In addition, there is an extensive animation and fitness program from aqua jogging to aqua aerobics for all age groups.

Enjoy a top-class bathing experience at the Wave Wasserwelt in Wörgl
