In the southern part of South Tyrol, a tour leads to the Jakobsspitze located at an altitude of 2,742m in the Sarntal Alps. It is suitable for both moderately experienced and advanced mountaineers and can be converted into a 2-day tour if necessary.

Starting from the village of Dumholz, a signposted trail (Jakobsspitze No. 5) leads towards Tellerjoch (2,520m). The next section is also the last section of the ascent, ending at the summit of Jakobsspitze (2,742m). For refreshments along the way, the Seebalm (1,802m) and the Flaggerschartenhütte (2,481m) are available. The latter can also be used for a stopover with overnight accommodation.
