The Kellerjochhütte is a very special place with a spectacular 360-degree panoramic view, with distant views of the (Austria) Grossglockner and (Germany) Zugspitze, with unobstructed views of the surrounding valleys, Inn - Achen and Zillertal.
The hostess and host like to cook well here, the dumplings, the pasta, and the pork roast are a fine staple on the menu. The down-to-earth kitchen, working with local products, is not lacking in creativity - the unique recipes, for example for the fine cakes, are also available on request.
On the sun terrace around the hut, you can enjoy a glass of Austrian wine. When it gets cooler in the evening, the 2 cozy warm, rustic parlors invite you to relax, the 24 sparkling clean dormitory beds (in 3 small dorms) later for overnight stays (mh - fine breakfast with homemade farmer's bread)
The family hike with children (from about 3.5 years) becomes a fine adventure thanks to a fun chairlift ride with the Kellerjochlift (Pillberg). An afternoon hike takes us from the Loassattel over the "Everglades" (Naunzalm) to the hut. From the Spieljoch mountain station (Fügen - Zillertal), you can enjoy a day round trip. From comfortable to challenging - with 10 different ascent options, there is probably something for everyone.
Winter operation: Only open around New Year's, ascent with touring skis, snowshoes
