Steinseehütte - 2,061m

The Steinseehütte (an Alpine Club hut - ÖAV Section Landeck) is located in the Lechtal Alps on the long-distance hiking trail E4 and the Adlerweg. The hut can be reached by car via a forest road to the Alfuzalm at 1,280m (free parking). From there, it is a 2 to 2 ½ hour walk to the Steinseehütte (2,061m). If arriving by train, a bus transfer from Landeck to the Alfuzalm is possible through Taxi Zangerl!

At the hut, you can expect a warm, family atmosphere. We exclusively spoil our guests with delicious, homemade regional products from the surrounding area, which we serve on our terrace or in one of the two cozy dining rooms.
The hut has 24 dormitory rooms / beds and 60 mattress dormitory spaces, with an additional 12 sleeping spaces in the winter room!
Two washrooms with flowing, clear, cold, and drinkable spring water, and two newly built showers are available to our guests.

There are several circular hikes, for example to the Württemberger Haus and the Hanauer Hütte, or a short family-friendly hike to the Steinsee (2,222m). Summit hikes require surefootedness and a head for heights. A family-friendly via ferrata leads to a sub-peak of the Steinkarspitze. The difficulties are in the range of B and C. The hut is a stage destination of the Lechtal High Trail, which means 13 huts, 100 kilometers, 10 days (www.lechtaler-hoehenweg.at/).

Climbing is a big focus at the hut, with climbing routes ranging from grade 2 to 8, with an emphasis on moderate difficulty levels. All attractive routes are well secured with bolts and are therefore particularly suitable for people who want to move their activities from the indoor climbing gym to the alpine area.
Various climbing gardens are available for beginners and advanced climbers. Due to their good safety, they are also ideal for children.
