The mild breeze and the lush, vibrant green vegetation create an atmosphere that is perfect for a relaxing round of golf.
The Lana Golf Club extends over a wide plain at the foot of the scenic elevation, from which the Brandis Castle ruins stoically overlook the area. In the early 19th century, a tower of the castle collapsed, burying not only the weapons collection but also the castle steward's wife. After this tragic incident, Count Brandis decided to build a new castle not too far away. The original castle was left to decay and can now only be visited with the owner's permission.

The flat location makes this golf course a special feature among the golf courses in South Tyrol. It provides a welcoming terrain, especially for beginners, but is also popular with advanced golfers due to the long fairways of almost 2,800 meters with a par of 35, requiring precise tee techniques. The 9-hole course designed by Michael Pinner is surrounded by orchards, vineyards, and snow-capped mountain peaks. The closeness to nature and the peaceful tranquility make your golf vacation a unique experience that allows you to forget the everyday routine. After all, a vacation is meant for you to truly relax. This is perfectly achieved on the fairways that wind through the South Tyrolean orchards.
The practice area at the Driving Range includes 12 tee-off areas, 8 of which are covered, a Putting Green with 18 holes, a Pitching Green with bunkers, and two small lakes that create a beautiful contrast to the lush green of the well-maintained facility. The club's own golf school, led by Golf Pro Kuno Profanter, offers courses for both experts and beginners. In addition to private lessons and group courses, you can also sign up for a trial course.
The manor marks the beginning
Guests are warmly welcomed here, but must present a club card or course certificate. The Lana Manor – a symbiosis of old walls and modern architecture – plays a central role. It is not only the clubhouse and the first point of contact for registration, but also includes a pro shop where you can update your equipment, as well as the Golf restaurant "Casa-G" with a sun terrace offering expansive views over the idyllic Etschtal, refined gourmet cuisine, and a wine bar serving the best local grapes as fine wines. Both the golf course and the restaurant are open daily from 8:00 am. And due to the mild climate, the season here runs very long – from mid-February to December. The manor also offers holiday apartments that combine cozy country style with modern comfort and offer a charming view over the golf course. One of the accommodations is even located in a former mill building.
A starting point for diverse interests
Not far from Lana, you will find numerous attractions that will add the famous "icing on the cake" to your golf vacation. These include the Ötzi Museum in Bolzano, the Botanical Gardens of Trauttmannsdorf Castle, the Regional Museum in Tyrol Castle, a stroll through Bolzano or Merano, or a trip to the sports paradise at Lake Caldaro.
Detailed information about the individual holes of the Lana Golf Club can be found on the official website of the facility. There, you can also find information about directions, prices, and course rules. In addition, a score card is available, and the webcam provides a distant view right into the active action on the course. www.golfclublana.it
