Hit the slopes!

Sports enthusiasts also get their money's worth in the cold season: Since 1936, winter sports have found their way into Corvara, located in the Gadertal. In Alta Badia, there are modern ski lifts and beautiful slopes that offer a breathtaking backdrop for skiing. If you don't want to snowboard or ski downhill, you can let off steam in the well-developed network of cross-country trails. It is recommended to ski around the Sella mountain massif. If there is not enough snow in Corvara, artificial snow ensures carefree winter fun.

Enjoy culture

For those who want to go on a sightseeing tour, they should visit the Gothic parish church of St. Catherine. The Holy Cross Church is also worth seeing. It is located in the Fanes-Sennes-Prags Nature Park, one of the largest protected areas in South Tyrol. It is home to the beautiful Lake Prags and invites tourists to pure relaxation.

From Corvara, you can quickly reach popular destinations: Nearby cities such as Bolzano or Venice, or the Marmolada Glacier, are ideal for day trips. Smaller towns like Arabba, Cortina, or Val Gardena are definitely worth a visit.

High up, surrounded by a breathtaking mountain panorama, different rules apply than down in the valley. The weather turns faster, a planned tour sometimes requires more effort than expected, and a small misstep can sometimes necessitate an early return.
