Beauties of Nature in Tyrol

Wolf's Gorge
Wolfsklamm (Wolf‘s Gorge) near Stans

At the foot of Mount Georgenberg, a wildly romantic gorge opens up, through which the Stanser stream has carved its way and where it still flows today – the Wolf‘s Gorge. However, the wolves, which are supposedly the namesake of the gorge, have not been found here for a long time.

Kundler Klamm (Gorge)

Hölltalschlucht

Hölltal? The name may initially be misleading, as it certainly does not take you into the devil‘s realm. Quite the contrary – a hiking trail leads you right into the silence, a peaceful place in nature, where only the occasional sound of trees, water, or animals can be heard.

The Gleirschklamm in the Karwendel Mountains cannot quite keep up with the popularity of other gorges.

Galitzenklamm
Galitzenklamm (Gorge)

The primordial power of water has always amazed humanity. Patiently and with never-ending energy, the masses of water fight their way through the rock, creating the archaic image that still characterizes the Galitzenklamm near Lienz in East Tyrol today.

Innergschlöß near Matrei: the most beautiful valley head in the Eastern Alps!

Of course, this sounds a bit like tourism advertising, because any ‘ranking‘ of the Alpine valleys is highly subjective. Nevertheless, a hike into the Gschlöß Valley is undoubtedly one of the experiences that remain unforgettable, and you have to be quite jaded not to get into raving about it.
