The Cinnenseen
Among the most beautiful mountain lakes in South Tyrol are the Zinnenseen, in which the famous Three Peaks are reflected, and from which you can enjoy the fascinating postcard landscape.
Great Black Lake
The Große Schwarzsee is one of the deepest mountain lakes in South Tyrol, with a depth of 27 meters. It is located at around 2500 meters above sea level in the rear Passeiertal near the Timmelsjoch and fascinates mainly because of its water, which appears almost black.
The Kofelraster Lakes
Between the Vinschgau and the Ultental, the picturesque Kofelraster Lakes stretch out at 2438 meters above sea level. The largest of these is the upper lake, which lies in the middle of the mountain funnel and is home to trout and char.
Pfurnsee
Equally impressive is the Pfurnsee near Ratschings. It is located at 2500 meters above sea level, and the surrounding mountain world is reflected in its crystal-clear water. In addition, hikers can enjoy an unforgettable view of the numerous three-thousanders from here.
The Sand Lake
Another highlight is the picturesque Sandessee, which lies directly below the Pflerscher Tribulaun and also has an island made of slate.
Crespeina Lake
In the quaint Gardertal, a visit to the peaceful Crespeinasee is also worthwhile, surrounded by an extremely fascinating landscape. Here you can enjoy relaxing moments and also take in the dreamy panorama of the Dolomites.
