The picturesque stretch between Imst and Telfs includes some places that are definitely worth a visit.
Imst, for example, offers the longest alpine coaster in the world - the "Alpine Coaster". And the Rosengartenschlucht, located right on the edge of the city, invites you to relaxing walks through caves and gorges. In addition, Imst is known as a shopping city and a cultural spot. The "City of Fountains" can look back on a wealth of 35 drinking fountains - some of which are of historical origin.
As a side valley of the Upper Inn Valley, the neighboring Gurgltal was once a marshy landscape and still shows its magnificent heritage today with rare butterfly species such as the Aurora butterfly, the birch spinner, and the nail spot. The beginning of the Gurgltal is made by the town of Nassereith with its significant parish church. The church with its more than 300-year-old onion dome is one of the largest village churches in Tyrol.

The magical underwater world of the Fernpass lakes
Next, you will reach the Fern Pass, which is characterized above all by the four nearby lakes in the book of natural beauties: the Fernsteinsee, the Weißensee, the Mittensee, and the Blindsee. All four have a circular hiking trail, Fernsteinsee and Blindensee are particularly inviting for diving in the crystal-clear water. In the Blindsee, trees sank into a bizarre underwater landscape as a result of a landslide in the 1980s.
A little further east - directly at the entrance to the Ötztal, between Haiming, Sautens, and Roppen - the Area 47 opens its doors. The adventure park offers a breathtakingly diverse range of leisure activities with an adrenaline rush guarantee. In the Water Area, freefall and twister slides, a 10-meter diving tower, and a water catapult show the way. Rafting and canyoning are the highlights of the Outdoor Area, while the Climbing Area with a bouldering wall, slacklines, bungee jumping, a high ropes course, and a climbing wall exerts its magnetic effect on brave adventurers.
In the Event Arena, parties, concerts, and motocross demonstrations take place. After all the excitement, you can relax in the Adventure Lodges, which are modeled after the Tyrolean log cabin style, or in one of the wooden tipis.
Winter fun at the highest-located holiday resort in Austria
Things also heat up in the winter in Kühtai - a popular winter sports resort in the Stubai Alps. The highest-lying holiday resort in Austria can guarantee snow and thus attracts skiers, snowboarders, and cross-country skiers alike. The Panorama Klettersteig Kühtai, on the other hand, offers mountain climbers challenging terrain and a magical view of the lake landscape. Particularly, allergy sufferers can breathe freely in Kühtai, as the air here is considered pollen-free due to its purity.
In the neighboring Obsteig, a sustainable project is making waves - the "Alpinpark". Here, nature conservation is combined with regional identity and ecology and brought closer to the visitor on themed hiking trails. In addition, Obsteig is an important stop for cyclists - there are plenty of routes for mountain biking or road cycling here. And even more original riders are not neglected here - horseback riding is even offered in Obsteig as a medical intervention.
A small leap is enough and you are already on the Mieminger Plateau, where in winter skiers and snowboarders, cross-country skiers, and Nordic walkers leave their tracks in the snow.
The Middle Inn Valley plays its trump cards of natural beauty both in summer and winter. Motorcyclists who have already conquered the Holzleitensattel know that these images can also come together: lush green meadows and snow-covered mountains form a harmony here that peacefully unites seasonal contrasts.
