Fuggerstadt Sterzing and Burg Reifenstein
©Suedtirol.com / CC BY 2.0 The building, which is one of the best-preserved castles in South Tyrol, is located on a rocky hill southwest of Sterzing. The 900-year-old, worth seeing Burg Reifenstein was never conquered or destroyed. In Sterzing itself, a stroll through the pedestrian zone with numerous dining and shopping options is worthwhile.
Jaufenpass
©Janos Korom Dr. / CC BY-SA 2.0 This 2,094 meter high pass connects the Eisacktal with the Passeiertal - a perfect alpine pass for motorcyclists. A little below the pass summit is a mountain inn, and on the pass summit itself, a snack stand for a small hunger in between. In St. Leonhard, there are several restaurants and cafes for a longer pit stop.
Spa town of Merano
©Stefan Rindt / CC BY 2.0 Many believe that Merano is the most beautiful alpine town because of the mixture of Mediterranean influence and high mountains. The gardens of Trautmannsdorf Castle and the city center are worth a visit for everyone.
Bolzano
©Luca Volpi / CC BY-SA 2.0 South Tyrol's capital (around 100,000 inhabitants) offers plenty of space for relaxation in the narrow streets of the old town. Enjoy cafes, restaurants, and other dining options in the well-known "Lauben."
Klausen
©Manuel Demetz / CC BY-ND 2.0 Remains of medieval walls and typical small-town flair in the heart of the Eisacktal invite you to make a stop.
Brixen
©Franz Ley / GFDL The historic episcopal city surrounded by a beautiful mountain backdrop offers enough interesting things for short visitors.
Franzensfeste

Tip:
©Janos Korom Dr. / CC BY 2.0 From Merano to Bolzano, the country roads S238, SP10, and SP54 are recommended. Here you drive off the main route through the picturesque holiday villages of Tscherms, Prissian, Nals, and Andrian.
