Those who like to connect a little adventure with every hike will get their money's worth on this tour. The starting point of the moderate hike is at the parking lot by the swimming pool in Längenfeld.
The first stage is like a leisurely walk past the Ötztaler Ache and the Pestkapelle.
Afterward, the terrain becomes a bit steeper and more rugged. Via the small Hauertal, one finally reaches the Hauersee, which shimmers like a small jewel in the midst of the rugged mountain landscape. The hut at the Hauersee, which is only open during the summer months, offers self-caterers a safe shelter for a night and serves as a base in the middle of the Geigenkamm.
