Starting this summer, the WunderWanderWeg in St. Anton am Arlberg is twice as long and already starts at Maiensee in St. Christoph. On the approximately one-hour route, visitors can learn a lot of interesting things about the history and nature of the Arlberg. Around the Sennhütte, there is the herb and alpine flower trail, where about 1000 plants are waiting to be admired, tasted, touched, and smelled by nature lovers. This includes the largest edelweiss in the Alps, which consists of a total of 20,000 flowers and in the middle of which guests can relax on special energy loungers. In addition, there is a fairy tale meadow, a witch's garden, and the Kuh'le Weg with entertaining stories about the famous alpine animals for the little ones. There is also a nature playground for the little visitors, where they can express their creativity. There is enough space for discovery and amazement, and the nine-meter-long slide also provides a lot of fun. But guests can also experience nature with all their senses on the barefoot path. Walking barefoot over stones, meadows, and grasses promotes health and trains the feet, and in addition, you can feel nature in a very special way.
WunderWanderWeg St. Anton am Arlberg
Those who want to explore the extended adventure trail should best take the hiking bus from St. Anton am Arlberg, which takes guests to St. Christoph. A little above the village, you will find the entrance to the WunderWanderWeg. After the tour, you can strengthen yourself with a May drink at the hut of the Senn family, which is made according to a recipe by Hildegard von Bingen. Those who want to learn more about the preparation should take the opportunity and participate in a herb tour.
Kneipp therapy at the Sennhütte
Another weekly program point at the Sennhütte is also "Healthy Kneipp therapy" or "Herb bread baking". The Kneipp facility was built from natural stones and visitors can relax their legs in different pools and in this way promote circulation. How the facility should be best walked is also described on information boards. Furthermore, the Kneipp facility also has an arm pool, in which health-promoting "arm Kneipp therapy" is possible. In general, Kneipp therapy is extremely good for the veins and prevents varicose veins, and it also enhances the circulation of the nasopharyngeal space. Arm Kneipp therapy reduces fatigue and has a psychovegetative relaxing effect.
