Holiday in South Tyrol: New glacier cable car in the Schnals Valley

The technology of the old railway, which was already over 50 years old, was replaced as part of comprehensive modernization work within eight months, and the remaining parts were overhauled. With the help of the railway, guests and locals can reach the Grawand mountain station from Kurzras, where the slopes of the Alpin Arena Schnals attract skiers and snowboarders. The last gondola departs at 7 p.m. back to Kurzras, with the journey now taking only about six minutes. In addition, the cabins now also have more usable space and heated floors, which prevents ice formation. The full glazing also provides the best views. A day ticket is available from 47 euros, and children up to the age of 10 can purchase a Snowkid ticket for five euros per day if accompanied by their mother or father who has a ski pass.
