Altitude start: 1,687m
Altitude summit: 2,273m
Difficulty level: difficult
Duration ascent: 6.5-7 hours; Length: 14.9km
Professionals start this challenging mountain hike at the Alpengasthof Praxmar at an altitude of 1687m. The continuously black-marked trails run along the slope, allowing for a wonderful view of the surrounding mountain and valley world, in particular the Lüsental and the Lüsener Ferner as well as the Ferner Kogel.
The path over the Köllenzeiger runs past a small pond and lush meadows up to the Westfalenhaus, which serves as an important base in the Stubai Alps. Those who want to extend the tour can take a detour to the Oberstkogel at 2,767m – however, this detour is only suitable for physically fit and experienced hikers.
