Here, the best of Northern Italian grape varieties are refined into quality wines. More than two-thirds of South Tyrolean wine is produced in cooperative wineries, a quarter is supplied by the association of "South Tyrolean Wineries," and around 5% is produced by the "Free Winegrowers of South Tyrol."

Cellar Bozen Gen

Grapes from 200 members are used to produce the quality wines from the South Tyrolean capital, which have been repeatedly awarded prizes. Erste+Neue Cellar

Erste+Neue Cellar For over 100 years, the Erste+Neue Cellar has been a part of the history of Kaltern's wine industry. In 1986, the "Erste Kellereigenossenschaft" (founded in 1900) merged with the "Neue Kellereigenossenschaft" (founded in 1925) to create one of the most renowned and traditional wineries in South Tyrol. The cellar's name already carries the message: preserving what has been proven and opening up to the new. You can taste this in every single bottle.

Kurtatsch Cellar

Kurtatsch Cellar Kurtatsch looks back on a centuries-old winegrowing tradition, as the special microclimate and excellent soil conditions are the best prerequisites for winemaking. The Kurtatsch Cellar has 191 members who supply indigenous grape varieties such as Grauvernatsch, Vernatsch, Gewürztraminer, and Lagrein, as well as international varieties such as Merlot, Cabernet, Blauburgunder, Weißburgunder, Pinot Grigio, and Chardonnay. Spicy white wines from the airy hillside locations impress with high quality and price. The focus in the red wine segment is on the typical characteristics of the varieties.

Schmid Oberrautner Winery - 600 years of winemaking tradition in Gries

Schmid Oberrautner Built in 1411 by Andrä Schmid on the Geraut and managed by the family for more than 19 generations. Despite this tradition, we do not forego the most modern cellar technology. 96,000 bottles are produced on the mostly family-owned 9 hectares of vineyards, including 4 types of Lagrein. To fully exploit the quality potential of our soils, we carefully decide which grape variety is planted at which location. Because only in its favorite place can a grape variety develop its full aroma, strength, and personality. Visit us and taste our wines!

Kornell Winery

Kornell Winery The Brigl family can look back on a centuries-old tradition in winemaking and cellar management. Already mentioned in 1309, the family has been in close contact with the grape and thus the wine since the 16th century. In 1996, Florian Brigl took over the estate from his father Leonhard Brigl, and in 2001, the smell of fermented wine was in the air again after 30 years. The Kornell Winery is located in Siebeneich, an area of great archaeological significance in the southern Alpine region. Porphyry weathering soils, a southern orientation, and a Mediterranean climate characterize our vineyards.

Hans Rottensteiner Winery

Rottensteiner The Rottensteiner family is one of the oldest families in South Tyrol and has been involved in winemaking for many generations. The cellar was founded in 1956 by Hans Rottensteiner and is now jointly run by his son Toni and grandson Hannes. Reconnecting with the origins and continuing the tradition are important guiding principles for their daily work. Enjoying wine: that's the motto of Toni and Hannes. Elegance and "drinkability" are clearly the focus of the wines. In addition, the typicity, the expression of the variety, and the terroir are clear and recognizable. This is why most of the wines in the range are single-varietal and the main focus is on the typical varieties of the region.

Pfitscher Winery

Pfitscher Winery The Pfitscher family's winemaking tradition dates back to 1861. The relocation of the Pfitscher estate from the center of Montan to the vineyards creates a special wine experience. The modern new building is a particularly resource-efficient, contemporary property that integrates discreetly into the landscape ensemble. Down-to-earthness and passion play as much a role in the work as innovation and closeness to nature. The goal is to preserve the tradition that has been cultivated for generations and to continually improve it, which can be tasted in every single drop.

Tiefenbrunner

Tiefenbrunner Wine has been produced at Castel Turmhof since 1848. Even today, the Tiefenbrunner family is committed to this tradition. Son Christof and his wife Sabine now run the winery. Valuable traditions are maintained and combined with new innovative developments. Preserving the character of the grape variety and the highest quality of the grapes form the basis for work in the vineyards and the cellar. Around 750,000 bottles are filled annually at Castel Turmhof, about 70% with white, the rest with red varieties. A special feature is the Hofstatt am Fennberg winery at an altitude of 1,000 meters. Here thrives the pride of the Tiefenbrunner family: The unique Müller Thurgau "Feldmarschall von Fenner."

Ansitz Josef Weger

Josef Weger The cellar in Girlan was founded in 1820 and has been dedicated to the production of high-quality wines for six generations, with respect for tradition combined with innovation. This philosophy is reflected in the elegant character of the classic Josef Weger wine line and in the premium line of wines "Maso delle Rose" (where only carefully selected grapes from their own vineyards are processed). The wineries are located at 450-650 meters above sea level, where the soil and microclimate provide ideal conditions for wines with special character.

PARDELLERHOF MONTIN - two names and two identities

PARDELLERHOF MONTIN The Pardellerhof is a historic farm in Marling, whose origins date back to the 13th century. Montin is the local name for the family name Eccli in Salurn. We, two small agricultural businesses, draw valuable synergies from our connection. Our goal of creating our own wines from estate-grown grapes became a reality with the 2012 vintage. Of course, we also place great value on quality! Passion, dedication, and knowledge are the strongest drivers of our work. Our first wine - the 2012 DOP Pinot grigio - was nominated for the final tasting by the Italian wine guide "Gambero Rosso" and awarded two red glasses!
