With the Bichlach round, you opt for a moderately difficult family bike tour through a collection of mysterious moors, hidden ponds, and refreshing lakes. Especially in the Bichlach nature reserve, between the Reither Ache and Kitzbüheler Ache, a magnificent moor landscape invites you to dream like an elf. Moreover, the moist habitat provided material for healing treatments – the harvested peat was used for therapeutic purposes in Kitzbühel's spas for a long time.

The glacial formations of the last ice age are considered the precursors of the current form of the Bichlach: hills and depressions alternate and create a characteristic, hilly world, around which some legends surely revolve. They may tell of alien beings who have found their refuge here and of magical encounters. So get ready for a varied pedaling experience – up and down, up and down...

The expressionist Alfons Walde expressed a captivating connection with nature and alpine life in many of his works. Oberndorf is the home of this significant artist, and perhaps you too will be kissed by the muse here and find inspiration for one or the other painting. Another child of the village is extreme mountain biker Markus Stöckl, who has set numerous records in high-speed downhill racing. The place seems predestined for cycling challenges. But don't worry – the chosen tour is much more leisurely than the rapid speed bike competition.

Start at the Oberndorf tourist office. It's best to gather some information and then you can get going. And that starts with the Lindenweg. Follow the road until you reach the Holztratter Weiher. Here begins a slightly steep path to the "Grutten" farm, where the asphalt eventually gives way to a more natural surface. Over gravel and wooded earth, you go to the "Brantl" farm, from where an asphalt road stretches again. Follow the path to the Münichau pond.

The onward journey takes you to the Gieringer Weiher, where a natural forest bath provides cooling and relaxation. Pedal boats make their rounds and a buffet with burgers and spare ribs, as well as vegetarian dishes, provides guests with the necessary energy to tackle the rest of the tour easily. Once the batteries are recharged, continue to the Vogelsberger Weiher before cycling uphill to the Steuerberg inn. The climb is also worthwhile because of the view of the Kitzbüheler Horn, which rears up in front of your eyes. The round trip now leads back to the starting point of the journey – Oberndorf.

Back in Oberndorf, you can admire the world's largest wooden fountain. The water reservoir, built from a 360-year-old fir tree, is over ten meters long, six meters wide, and four meters high and is located in front of the historic Müllnerhof. But if you'd rather be in the water – no problem: The "Bichlachbad" outdoor pool caters to water rats and sun worshippers with a sports pool, a water slide, a huge sunbathing lawn, and a children's pool with an elephant slide and water-spouting crocodiles.
