As the summer heat slowly subsides and autumn arrives, cyclists are back on the road. For those who want to exert themselves less, the Kitzbühel Alps offer the ideal conditions, as the Tyrolean holiday region is considered the world's largest e-bike area. E-bikes are absolutely on trend, as they save time and also convince with very easy handling. The bicycle is supported by a small electric motor, which is very powerful. This allows cyclists to switch the motor on at different levels or to ride without assistance. Children or older people can therefore cover longer distances with e-bikes, but also less trained cyclists are happy to take advantage of the benefits of motor assistance.

Altogether, the Kitzbühel Alps as well as the holiday regions of Pillersee Tal, Hohe Salve, St. Johann in Tirol and Brixental have over 1000 kilometers of cycle paths. In addition, cyclists have access to more than 300 e-bikes, 43 rental stations, seven service bike shops and 38 hotel partner establishments. Of course, the 80 charging stations, where the bike batteries can be recharged for free, are also important. In addition, guided e-bike tours to the most beautiful places in Kitzbühel are also offered twice a week. For example, a tour for beginners focuses on Kitzbühel and its surroundings, while on a tour for slightly more advanced riders, you can conquer the mountain world with an e-bike.

Unique inn and cabin culture

During or after a bike tour, it is of course also important to stop at one of the numerous inns or in a rustic hut to try the delicious Tyrolean specialties, including hearty home-cooked meals, dumplings in all variations, or specialties from the Mangalitza pig.

St. Johann Alpine Festival Weeks

Of course, the various Tyrolean autumn festivals are also highly recommended, such as the Dumpling Festival, which will take place as part of the St. Johanner Alm Festival Weeks. On this day, a total of 17 festival hosts will serve around 26,000 dumplings in various variations such as cheese and pressed dumplings, bacon or bread dumplings, spinach dumplings, and apricot or yeast dumplings. The dumplings will be set up on a table with a length of 300 meters, and five music groups will also provide the best entertainment.
