Sass Songher (2665 m)

This massive, free-standing rock mountain rises to the north above Corvara. The climb is always worthwhile: the hiker is rewarded with a magnificent panoramic view.

However, surefootedness and mountain experience are required.

Ascent: From Kolfuschg (1615 m) near Corvara in the Gadertal valley on path no. 4 northwards through the Edelweiss valley and on the branching path no. 7 up to the Sass Songher gap (2421 m). Now over the scree-covered northwest ridge easily to the summit.
