Holiday in Valles / Vals

Valles / Vals - a village with around 500 inhabitants - offers its guests holiday pleasures par excellence in summer as well as in winter. Here, in summer, you will find gently sloping slopes and green alpine meadows, while in the cold season you can enjoy the snow fun.

The small village of Valles / Vals is located in a high valley near Mühlbach at an altitude of 1353 meters. Valles / Vals stands for tradition, but above all for a paradisiacal mountain landscape, which invites you to hike in the summer and to ski, sled or cross-country ski in the winter.

Romantic mountain world

Particularly recommended for a summer family trip is the Fane Alm, which is also referred to as the most beautiful South Tyrolean alpine village. Here, the wild stream splashes, you can watch the grazing cows and sheep and admire the gentle mountain slopes, on which the alpine roses bloom in summer. The people here are also very similar to nature: natural and down-to-earth. From the Fane Alm you can also reach the Wilden Kreuzspitze or the Brixner Hütte, where you will be well taken care of. Around Valles / Vals, the Pfunderer Höhenweg also crosses the picturesque mountain world, and leisurely walks can also be taken on the Valser circular path. The alpine drive and the milk and alpine festival in August are also very well known and popular, as visitors have the opportunity to experience tradition and customs up close.

Ideal winter sports resort

The landscape also presents itself idyllically in the winter months. Then the hiking area becomes a fantastic winter sports resort, which can boast slopes of all difficulty levels. In the village center, there are two practice lifts for the little skiers and beginners, while the more experienced skiers can let off steam on the well-prepared slopes in the Jochtal ski area. In the valley, there is also an eight-kilometer circular cross-country ski trail for cross-country skiers, but sledding on the Fane Alm toboggan run is also a lot of fun, where the fast sleds can also be rented. Every Tuesday, the so-called "Dance of the Vampires" takes place. The slope is specially illuminated for ski tourers, and the cable car is also available for the other party guests.

Relax in a family-friendly atmosphere

For a relaxing stay in Valles / Vals, visitors have 4-star hotels, guesthouses, holiday apartments, as well as farms available. You immerse yourself in the silence, enjoy the scent of wood, and also indulge in culinary delights. This makes a stay in the idyllic Valles / Vals nothing in the way, enjoy the solitude and peace here, and then return strengthened and well-rested to your everyday life.

The castles and fortresses of the Eisack Valley - South Tyrol

The Eisack valley hosts one of the most important transit routes in the Eastern Alps. The enormous economic and strategic importance of the valley is reflected not least in the many castles and palaces that are strung here almost like pearls on a necklace.
