Pure relaxation in a hiker's paradise

Rodengo / Rodeneck

Those who seek seclusion will love the cozy community of Rodengo / Rodeneck. Here, there is neither hectic car traffic nor loud streets. Only a few smaller traffic routes and a bus line that leads to Brixen, 10km away, provide the necessary connection, while lush meadows and gentle fields invite you to relax and unwind. Rodengo / Rodeneck has just over 1000 inhabitants who take exemplary care of their guests. Whether in a privately run family pension or at the higher-lying mountain farm, the motto is always "feel good".

The municipality, consisting of the districts of Vill, Gifen, Nauders, St. Pauls, Spisses, Ahnerberg, and Fröllerberg, has a long history. Both prehistoric Roman settlements and "hill forts" from the middle Bronze Age have been found in the area around Rodengo / Rodeneck. This is hardly surprising, as the location is particularly favorable. Here, the Puster Valley, the Eisack Valley, and the Wipptal Valley come together.

Today, it is mainly the holidaymakers who benefit from ideal weather conditions. There is something for everyone: Mediterranean air flows in from the Eisack Valley, while the connection to the Puster Valley brings fresh, cool mountain air.

The magnificent fortification, which has been towering over Rodengo / Rodeneck since the 12th century, is the landmark of the municipality.
